How do I share a file on MEGA?
Right-click the file or folder in your Cloud drive and choose Share link. MEGA generates a link you can send to anyone, and recipients can view and download the content without a MEGA account.
Is there a file size limit for sharing on MEGA?
No. You can share files and folders of any size. Free accounts have a monthly transfer quota that applies to downloads by recipients without a MEGA account, while Pro Flexi and Business plans have no transfer quota.
What‘s the difference between a MEGA share link and Transfer.it?
MEGA links are best for files you want to keep accessible from your Cloud drive over time. Transfer.it is built for one-off transfers of large files where the recipient just needs to download once.
Can I stop someone from accessing a link I‘ve shared?
Yes. You can remove a shared link at any time from the Share link option, which revokes access immediately. Pro and Business users can also set expiry dates.
How do I know if my shared link is secure?
All MEGA links are end-to-end encrypted by default, with the decryption key included as part of the link itself. For sensitive files, add a password and an expiry date for extra control.
